QVI Forecourt Renewal /

In 2022, QV1 embarked on an upgrade of its ground floor interior and exterior public spaces. Artify were engaged to develop an Art Programme to bring new life to the site for people who work in the building and the general public. Currently, the project scope extends to the south plaza facing St Georges Terrace, however this scope may be extended in time.

As part of the renewal, five large scale signage elements have been installed in the south outdoor plaza. These signs will raise the profile of the site, assisting with wayfinding, tenant branding, and providing a platform to showcase artwork. Artify identified two artwork opportunities in this location - a perforated permanent artwork on one side of the signage panels, and a digital artwork programme to feature on the LED screen side of the panels.

Brett Nannup has created a beautiful line design that spans across the five signage elements. His work, Through the Eyes of our Elders, tells stories of culture, connection, protection, pathways, and family. The artwork was installed on site in March 2023.
